Non-Fiction Section (Arrange in numerical order up to 0.01 decimal place) and
Reference Section (Arrange in numerical order up to 0.01 decimal place).

Priority B
Wrap and mend damaged books
Arrange and update display books

Priority C
News article cutting (To paste on “Pick Of The Week”)
Book reviews writing (For our notice Board)

After all patrons are told to leave. . .
Clear tables
Arrange chairs
4 chairs to a table

At all times. . .
Keep patrons quiet
Refrain from chatting and playing

Hello people :D
welcome to our MRLC blog.
Let me introduce you to our new MRLC exco members.

General Information

The MRLC opens from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday (except public holidays or designated school holidays).

Rules and Regulations

The following regulations should be adhered to by all users:

(i) All bags should be left in designated area(s) provided inside the Centre.
Users must not leave any valuable or expensive items in the bags. The school will not be responsible for any loss or damage incurred.

(ii) Eating and drinking is strictly disallowed in any part of the MRLC.

(iii) Pupils must not enter Teachers' Resource Centre or the MRLC office unless permission is granted by the HOD (IT cum MRL) or MRLC Head.

(iv) Silence must be observed at all times except during approved activities.

(v) Users must not change the position of any equipment/shelf /landscaping.

(vi) A user found responsible for damaging / losing / defacing any resources, materials, equipment belonging to the MRLC will face disciplinary action.

(vii) Users may be asked to leave the MRLC premises and restricted from using the facilities / resources if they refuse to comply with the MRLC regulations or follow instructions given by any of the MRLC staff.

(viii) All Dunearn Secondary School rules in force also apply in the MRLC.

(ix) A pupil is allowed to check out 4 books at any instance. However, items in the Reference section may only be used within the Students' Resource
Centre. Items on open shelf display can be checked out unless
otherwise indicated. A pupil may be allowed to sign out for a period of one hour, one item from the Reference section for photocopying.
Note: Users photocopying any material must adhere to all copyright rules in force at that time.

(x) Checking out of materials is done by presenting the Librarian with the student pass / NRIC and allowing him/her to stamp the date due on the item(s).

Pupils must report the loss of their student pass to the Librarian after informing the School Office to prevent any misuse. All items, except those in the Reference and Magazine sections, whether fiction or non-fiction, may be borrowed up to a maximum of 14 consecutive days, inclusive of the day of borrowing. Renewals are to be made personally at the MRLC service counter. (xi) All users are strongly urged to return checked out materials by the date due. Overdue items will be charged at 10 cents (Singapore currency) per item checked out for every single day of overdue.

User privileges will be suspended when the accumulated overdue charges reach S$6.00 (this amount is subjected to review and change).

(xii) Pupils must report the loss of any item under their charge, pay the cost of the item plus an administrative charge of S$5.00.
